Workshops for a Better World

In a world where we are constantly inundated with with words, pictures and movies stepping out of these routines is very helpful. Exploring complex topics such as democracy, climate crisis or social deterioration through methods involving all our senses opens spaces for new forms of encountering that transcend language, culture, and social background.
These moments of connection foster trust, break down barriers, and open doors to new perspectives. In the past years I have developed workshops that enable to focus on truly creating a better world.

Who are these workshops for?

  • Activists & Change-Makers – Looking for creative tools to strengthen community bonds.
  • Educators & Facilitators – Seeking innovative methods for team-building and conflict resolution.
  • Artists & Performers – Interested in the intersection of movement and social impact.
  • Everyone – Who believes in the power of human connection to create a better world.

In Touch for Democracy

Democracy thrives on understanding, empathy, and collaboration. Yet, in an era of polarization, we need fresh, innovative ways to rebuild these foundations. This workshop explores how movement-based techniques can:

  • Build trust between strangers through shared physical experience.
  • Encourage nonverbal communication, allowing participants to connect beyond words.
  • Inspire new forms of dialogue that support democratic values like inclusion, active listening, and mutual respect.

Puck You – Shakespeare and the Climate Crisis

How does a society deal with the weather awry? This question is one of the premises in Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. And Teekay’s science-theatre workshop concept picks up the hot topic and transfers it to the present.
Inspired by Shakespeare’s characters the participants enacted the „ruling class“, the „rebellious youth“ and the middle class „craftsmen“ as they enter in the most urgent social dialogue of our time: how can we as a society combat the climate crisis?
In just 90 minutes facts and emotions about climate change are equally addressed.
As one participant said in Berlin on the first run: “It was exciting to see these conflicts in a different way. Really cool, a climate action that was really fun.”
